On June 1, 2026 I made my podcast debut on the Barbie Talk YouTube Channel hosted by Kelly in Pink.  I am very honored and grateful to be featured, and had so much fun talking Barbie and sharing favorite dolls with Kelly and viewers

David Mansour’s fascination with Barbie is for a lifetime, which is a longtime as he shares the same birthyear as her boyfriend Ken. A gift of Barbie in 1987 reignited a childhood love of the doll, giving rise to a collection that numbers in the thousands today. Enthusiasm for Barbie and other toys he collected inspired him to write the pop culture book From ABBA to Zoom. Appearing on the Discovery Channel’s Pop Nation TV show to share his knowledge on Barbie earned him national recognition as a “Barbie Expert.” In 2018, David began photographing his large Barbie collection in colorful original portraits. This eight year photography project is the genesis for Behold the Valley of the Dolls. David resides in sunny San Diego, California with husband John Bode, a family of adorable pets, and his Barbie collection.
